Hellebore cup
As i have said in earlier
posts, I’m reading the book 'silver fin'. This is a great book im enjoying it
very much. In this post and later ones i shall describe the jist of what is
going on in the story. So to begin, James bond has started off by going to school
at Eton he's doing well and meeting new friends but he is also being bullied by
an American kid and his buddies. Later on he enters the Hellebore cup, which
consists of shooting swimming and cross country running. James does not win the
shooting or the swimming but he wins the running and stops George (the American)
from winning. That is about how far i have gotten. Thank you.

'SilverFin'
At the moment I’m reading the first of the ‘Young James Bond’
books silver fin. The front cover is quite simple with just 2 ideas on the
front. The colour scheme is blues, silvers and whites. But the title is in a
bold eye catching red, with cross hares on it to make you think of shooting. (This
links to what Bond does.) The cover includes eel that are silver and i think
that leaves a lot to the imagination and makes you want to pick up the book and
see why they are there! In my opinion it has a great front cover. I started not long ago and i haven’t gotten very
far but the amount i have read is brilliant! I don’t want this to sound like a
review but it’s a brilliant read and full of fun. It lets you in on the life
Bond had before he was an agent that he went to Eton was a great sports man. In the first few chapters it intruduces all the character like 'Pritpal' a very kind (he becomes friends with Bond) chubby indian boy, 'George Hellebore' Large American who trys to make Bonds life a living hell, his father 'lord Hellebore' a big rich american wrestler in charge of most things around there. There are lots of other charcters but those are the ones you'll see more often in the start of the book, as i havent gotten very far i cannot update on the characters yet. This book is by Charlie Higson, like what was
said in the last post i love reading action and adventure books, but I tend to
stick to those types of books. I think the sort of people who like the action
and adventure genre should read these series of books. But that’s what i like
reading. I shall keep you all posted on how far I have gotten in my book and any new charcters.

The start of the journey.
Am I a reading fanatic?
No but i do love to read, i don’t
find that i read a wide enough verity of book types I only really read action
and adventure books. (Most other types bore me)
when i was smaller my parents obsessed over me to get me to
read, we’d take monthly trips to the library. at first this is great and you
want read so much in all this time you have, however as you get older you have
less time and so it gets harder to read, which i find really disappointing. I
do try to find time to read but i do so much now. I attend a club called Army
cadets Mondays and Wednesdays and over the rest of the days is homework and
school. So you can see my problem. (Weekends are packed too)
My favourite series of novels
are the ‘young James Bond’ books (by Charlie Higson) and the ‘Alex Rider’ series.
(By Anthony Horrowitz) At the moment I’m reading Silver fin and snake head. I
find i read more than one book at a time, because i have one book one place and
the other next to me and so i think. ‘eh that’ll do’ i enjoy reading but i
prefer to eat cookies!
